Acting on the announcement of sustainability strategy of the World Sailing in November 2016, sports, international federation has appointed a group of experts to its first commission of sustainability, which will be headed chaired by Mike Golding OBE.
Golding is one of the most successful and accomplished offshore sailors, he will lead an independent group of experts, distinguished sailors and thought leaders. Every member of this Commission has a passion and desire in common and that is to drive sustainability within marine and the sailing industry forward.
The members of The World Sailing Sustainability Commission (WSSC) include:
Mike Golding OBE from Great Britain, he is the Chairman of the commission, Mark Orams from New Zealand, Jill Savery from the United States Of America, Will Oxley from Australia, Stratis Andreadis from Greece, James Blake from Great Britain, Emily Penn from Great Britain, Stephanie Draper from Great Britain.
Furthermore, Program manager of Sustainability commission is Dan Reading he has been appointed in this position by the World Sailing, he joins this position from the British Marine and Royal Yachting Association environmental program.
