The Aon Youth Sailing World Championship has been running and in the girl’s category Greta and Kate Stewart has gained an edge on the overall scores by day three of the championship which was on 19th December 2016. This was a consistent performance by the sisters as they race off the Torbay course in Auckland.
They have gained points to move into second position. They represent New Zealand and the three races that they sailed on the third day saw them having good results in a fleet that consists of 24 boats. Kate states that it is definitely good and advantageous to be among the top five in the races. The girls are happy, but they are not being complacent about their performance. They admit that they cannot afford to lose focus as the remaining days of the competition come on.
