Both were unwilling to race for the reason that they get injured. The absence of the duo, give chance to Zachary Leonard head coach to send five underclassmen among the team of eight total sailors. Two teams that were sailing for ‘A’ division collectively finished in seventh position and the team of ‘B’ division finished in sixth position in the championship
Crew Clara Robertson said “Team worked really hard this weekend and face the difficulties very well.” Clara said “Charles River conditions were very difficult, it was changing its tendency frequently and it was really challenging to withstand stable against such weather conditions still I think the team did a good job. They were thinking productively and consistently sharing information with each other. The team efforts shown here will certainly pay off in future events.”
Sailing conditions on Charles River on Saturday was quite challenging, there was a northwest breeze that was fluctuating from five to twelve knots. It was clocking left for the entire day. Looking at weather conditions Elis sent crew Graceann Nicolosi, and skipper Nic Baird to sail in ‘A’ division. Captain Mitchell Kiss ’17 and Robertson along with skipper raced for division ‘B’. On 10th day race, both teams secured first place.
“This is not important in regatta to win, it is more important that everyone on the boat should feel comfortable with sailing keeping their spirit high.’ Nicolosi said.
